If you’ve lived the bachelor lifestyle for many a year and you’re thinking about getting serious, quitting the night life, or even just lessening the amounts of nights you come home to an empty place (one night stands don’t count) and you’re finally getting the feeling of wanting to settle down some day soon then what would be the right way to go about it? Firstly, you can stop using sex as a tool but rather an act of love with the right person. You can start house hunting, thinking of a five or ten year plan, get more serious in your career and partake in things that are interesting to you – be it sports or other activities. Being able to share your life with someone is a magical feeling and having a child – something that is essentially you, is a blessing.
Instead of blowing your money at a club or having those bi weekly guys nights at extravagant places, eating and drinking the hours away why not start saving some money to get a decent car, start a pension fund and or get a family or even girlfriend-friendly place to stay.
2 bedroom apartments not only says that you’re open for a commitment and look forward to a family one day, it also says that you are not a kid anymore and that you’re not a guy who wants to be a bachelor for the rest of his life. Making this choice makes it clearly to everyone that you’re serious about becoming more of a responsible adult.
Alternatively, maybe you’re not ready to give up the bachelor lifestyle but you do like to spend money and you can rarely get the cash together to pay your rent, looking at 2 bedroom apartments would be a good idea if you wanted to get a roommate or live with a friend. That way, you don’t have to send that daily text to your bestie asking them to come over and play XBOX nor do you have to keep choosing places to meet. The rent is probably cheaper and you’ve always got a buddy nearby. Or heck – get the place just so that you don’t feel like you’re living inside a shoebox.
I guess in that regard, the pendulum swings both ways. Whatever the reason is that you’re looking to relocate – be it for money, to eradicate loneliness or to settle down – anything looks better than a douche in a bachelor pad.
